The Glendale Model Railroad Club

This weekend I attended the Glendale Model Railroad Club's 60th anniversary open house. Their large rail layout cleverly depicts the operations of the Southern Pacific Railroad between Downtown Los Angeles (Union Station) and Bakersfield, and includes Glendale's historic train station, downtown Burbank, and Taylor Yard. Very impressive!

They have a free open house on the first Monday of every month from 7:30-10pm. That includes tonight, so head over to Fremont Park and check out a lovely piece of REAL Americana.
