Weekend Events: Glendale Stargazing and Open Studio Tour

Two interesting events happening in town this weekend. Here's a description of the first, from the News-Press:
Night hike, stargazing

Hiking and stargazing starts at 6 p.m. Saturday and allows hiking aficionados to take on a traditional park ranger-led hike or fitness hike at Deukmejian Wilderness Park, 3429 Markridge Road.

Telescopes will be set up at 7:30 for night star gazing. Bring water, a flashlight and comfortable shoes. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Admission is free. For details, call (818) 550-4478.

And this Sunday the Glendale Open Studio Tour is taking place.

Once again on Sunday, September 14th, from 12 pm to 6 pm Glendale artists and art organizations will open up their studios to the public. This free, self-guided tour is a rare opportunity to peek into the studios and creative minds of many talented and award winning artists who live and work in City of Glendale.
