Giant Pit at Former Circuit City Site

Here's the massive pit that now exists where Circuit City once stood. The east side of Maryland has been closed to thru traffic for a week because they've used it for a non-stop stream of trucks carrying dirt away from the site.

Hey Scott. Still a great blog! Your bike advocacy is great, as I've started to bike to work regularly from South Glendale to Burbank. But I was surprised to find there's been no mention of it down Los Feliz Blvd. to the River Bike Path (which is my normal commuting route). In any case, keep up the good work.

*Correction: By "it," I meant to type Bike Month. Especially since Los Feliz is such a busy street and one of the few places one can reach the bike path.

A bike route down Los Feliz would be ideal. It would of course need to meet a route coming in from City of LA. Personally I tend to favor Glendale Blvd over Los Feliz for getting to the bike path, there is more space for cyclists (but it's going the wrong direction if you're trying to get to Burbank). I am putting together a route for another History Bike Tour that will start in South Glendale and loop over to the River path.
