The Americana: Fireworks Script

For those of you upset over the very late, very loud fireworks display last night: here is a customer service script I saw behind the concierge desk at the Americana. As soon as the concierges were distracted, I reached over the counter and snapped a pic. For what it's worth, I live a half mile from the Americana and didn't receive a courtesy letter.

I doubt fireworks displays will be a regular feature at the Americana, and it actually was pretty damn cool to watch once you realized it wasn't gang warfare.

I'll be writing a full series of posts about my day at the Americana and will put them up later tonight.

Americana Fireworks

I had almost forgotten that tonight was the preview gala for the Americana. My memory was jolted by a massive fireworks display about ten minutes ago that sounded like World War III. I wouldn't have had any advance warning if Franklin Avenue hadn't posted an item about receiving a mailer last week warning of loud noises from 7-9:30pm.

The fireworks didn't go off until 11:10 or so-- pretty damn late. Here are some pictures from my kitchen window.
