I've uploaded a set of photos from today's Planes of Fame Air Show onto Flickr. It was a great day but the heat was brutal. The highlight for me had to be seeing two P-38 Lightnings in flight, as they are exceptionally rare.Glendale's airport, the Grand Central Air Terminal, was converted to a P-38 base and used for training operations and the aerial defense of Southern California during World War II. The P-38s themselves were built right down the road at Lockheed in Burbank.
