Meeting For Glendale Cyclists & Pedestrians This Thursday, 5/28/09
The first public stakeholder meeting of Glendale cyclists and pedestrians to get feedback and keep everyone up to date on Glendale Safe and Healthy Streets is this Thursday, May 28th. There will be some free goodies provided by El Morfi Grill, an excellent Argentinian restaurant which had its own run in with speeding driver in October. Please shoot Colin Bogart an e-mail and let him know if you'll be attending.

"We Call This A Crosswalk"
Okay, that's pedestrian safety covered. Perhaps we can conduct a seminar where we show Glendale drivers how to apply the so-called "brake pedal".

Glendale News-Press Now Twittering
The Glendale News-Press is now filing dispatches via Twitter. Mostly links to stories in the paper so far, but there are a few on-the-scene tweets from Zain Shauk and new editor Dan Evans. I'm not hip to twitter yet; I just joined tonight to follow the News-Press and Franklin Avenue.

Credit Card Fraud In Glendale
Given that Glendale is ground zero for an apalling amount of fraud, I am pretty careful about where and when I use my credit card. Despite this, I was just awakened by a phone call from the fraud prevention unit of my bank telling me that there were some unusual charges made to my card last night. I experienced similar credit card fraud about two years ago as well, and so have most of my co-workers in Glendale at some point. Double check those credit card statements.
